Beakfast forever!

So I was browsing Pinterest the other day...What's that? Pinterest?...You haven't heard?...Oh well, its just this site of EVERYTHING YOU COULD EVER IMAGINE IN THE ENTIRE WORLD.

-- Like this page here, which I used to make my sister's (might I say) AWESOME Christmas present.
-- Or this page here, where I have made BIG plans to make amazing curtains.
-- Or this one here, which gave my roommate the best idea for our perfect Superbowl treat. When I asked her where she got the idea, she gave me this jingly little sing-song answer, "Piinntressstttt". I plan on using that sing-songy answer for...probably the rest of my life.
-- And really there used to be a lot more recipes I'd saved, crafts, vacation spots, clothes, etc, that I had bookmarked but tragically somehow deleted from my internet toolbar one day. (Yes, I was incredibly crushed, you have absolutely no idea).

But back to the point. I was browsing Pinterest the other day, and caught site of a picture of frozen breakfast burritos. Since I've given you link-overload today, I'll just show you the pic that caught my eye.

So my sister and her kids stayed the night last week, so I (unbelievably) got up early and cooked the whole house sausage, eggs, and biscuits. Oh, my roommate and her boyfriend left before 8AM to get in line at the DMV? Oh, my boyfriend isn't feeling well and doesn't want to eat much? Anywho, by the time my sister left and I dared venture back into the kitchen, I had tons of eggs and a lot of sausage left. I considered feeding it to the dog, but he's already pretty chubby from his love of bread, sandwich meat, fruit, vegetables, and his loving owner that just knows his heart flutters every time I toss him a snack and therefore can't resist the urge, that idea was not an option. Hmmmmmmm.

In the words of my roommate....PPiinnttrreesssttttttttt. I made 2 sausage + egg + cheese burritos and two egg + cheese burritos and tossed them in the freezer. And of course because I'm an organizational nutcase, I labeled it before it went in.

The instructions said to put it in the microwave for 1 minute on each side, loosely wrapped in its plastic wrap. Mine was pretty thawed out by the time I made it to work and heated it, and the plastic stuck together and probably fried chemicals onto my burrito so I won't be doing that again, but it turned out pretty good after only 40 seconds. I'm truly considering spending a weekend morning cooking up tons of little burritos and freezing them. They're perfect!!!

I'm Back

So yes, I'm here, again. The holidays hit me and I think my brains been on a summer vacation ever since. My mom and my sister both tagged me in this game, but since I'm so far behind and really don't have anyone to tag going forward, I'll just do this half way. Apologies in advance...

The Rules:
1. You must post the rules.
2. Post eleven fun facts about yourself on the blog post.
3. Answer the questions the tagger set for you in their post, and then
create eleven new questions to ask the people you've tagged.
4. Tag (eleven?) people and link them on your post.
5. Let them know you've tagged them!
Eleven (Fun) Facts About Me:

4.I love plants! I want a plant nook in my house, maybe right next to my reading nook. I'm jealous of my mom's plant nook! (I guess that's what they're called...)

Season ALL, literally everything, seriously

I've been feeling quite uninspired the last few weeks. Lets see, I had 2.5 Thanksgiving celebrations, ate Thanksgiving leftovers about 4 times, and have been hungover from too much turkey for the past week. I don't ever want to eat Thanksgiving food AGAIN!!!!*

*true for about 355 more days

I went grocery shopping this week, the first time I've been since my T-day shopping extravaganza to get all my T-day ingredients. Its true what they say, you know, you should never go shopping hungry. All I could think about the entire day was all my favorite food items. So I decided you know what? I'm going to put all my favorite things together and it has to taste good because they're all my favorite things. Right? Right. Sort of.

Dinner was...interesting. But so good, so so good.

My favorite things? Artichoke hearts. Roasted peppers. Cauliflower. Noodles. Sriracha. Whats that? You don't know what Sriracha is? Oh man. Sit down. We're gonna talk.

Sriracha is like heaven on earth. And I feel like for me to say that is a big deal. I'm very against seasonings that I can't buy raw. Examples: Mrs. Dash, Seasoned Salt, Lawrys (although I do love Lawrys, holy smokes). Every time I reach to buy a mixed seasoning I have this inner war between the angels and demons.

You know your steak will be amazing if you buy that spicy honey mesquite seasoning.
But what if i don't like it.
You know you'll like it.
But then i can only use it on steak, and only if I'm in the mood for spicey honey mesquite flavor.
Who cares, its worth it.
But what if I love it SOO much, that i use it on everything, and it becomes my go to seasoning, and then it goes off the market and every dish I make from then on tastes like crap because I can't get my secret ingredient anymore.
You know you can always buy some on Ebay or something.
But what if someone says Hmm, is this SPICY HONEY MESQUITE BLENDED SEASONING!? Busted. Totally busted. They'll know I'm a fraud and a weak person because I can't make a spice concoction on my own.

My hovering hand in front of the pre-blended spice rack quickly drops and I keep walking. But Sriracha? Wow. Wow. WOW! I put this in everything. "Hmmm, SOMEthing is missing and I can't figure out what it is, lets just add sriracha. OMG Perfecto!" Spaghetti sauce, the meatballs that go into the spaghetti, baked chicken, ground beef, on and on and on. Its like this spicy amazing flavor. I can't explain it. Just go get some for heaven's sake.

ANYWAY, back to my din-din of faves. Here goes.

1 Baked chicken with a little Ragu parmesan sauce, nothing special (except Sriracha, duh).
2 Sauteed and seasoned cauliflower, artichoke hearts, and roasted peppers (I put capers back on the shelf because my conglomeration was getting out of hand).
3 Pasta with a little Ragu (and Sriracha)
4 and Brussel Sprouts. What? Yep. I've only had them once in my life and I loved them. Then the entire rest of my life everytime they came up in conversation and I admited to such, the other person would say "no, you don't love brussel sprouts, trust me. You must have been eating something else." But this was MY DINNER so I did what I wanted.

I stumbled on THIS recipe last week, and did it, and I was RIGHT!!! I do love brussel sprouts. And in case you don't want to check the recipe out, I'll just go ahead and tell you what it is. Bsprouts covered in honey, lime, and.............SRIRACHAAAAAAAAA!!!!

*pronounced sir-raw-cha (say it with me)
